From Johannesburg
Take the N12 from Johannesburg; continue past the Middleburg Toll gate
Take the Belfast off ramp and continue driving toward Dullstroom and Lydenburg
From Lydenburg drive through to Ohrigstad, please do drive carefully as there are often cattle on the road and potholes.
Drive through the Abel Erasmus pass and through the Strydom tunnel
Continue on toward Hoedspruit.
Go through the town and at the 2nd four way stop turn left onto the R40 driving toward Phalaborwa
Continue for just over 20kms, Hippo Pools Resort is on the left hand side – tar road access down to the resort.
If you go over the Olifants River you have gone just too far!
From Polokwane
Drive to Tzaneen and from Tzaneen take the R71 toward Gravelotte
From Gravelotte drive toward Mica and at the T junction turn right toward Mica
Drive past Mica and over the Olifants River
1km from the river is a turnoff on the right hand side for Hippo Pools Resort
